Swordfish had a fantastic time visiting St Martin’s fossil museum which their Year Six class had created. The children learnt a lot and enjoyed taking part in the quizzes they had created.

Are you an art rebel?

Swordfish class welcomed Jan and Sarah from the Turner Contemporary art gallery to launch the Portfolio Competition. The theme this year is ‘Are you an art rebel?’. We drew a range of portraits and then ripped them up to make a collective piece of art.

Children in Need

Swordfish raised an amazing £84 for Children in Need this year. Their stalls were enjoyed by all the other children in the school. Thank you to all the children for putting so much time and energy into making the day such a success.

Sporty Swordfish

Swordfish class represented Seabrook School at the Shepway School Games athletics event today. They all gave 100% and overall achieved 6th place. All the Swordfish staff were very pleased with their conduct and positive attitude. They then went on to take part in gymnastics and swimming! Swordfish were true sporting stars all day.

We had a very interesting morning at Folkestone Museum taking part in a World War One spy workshop.  We learnt how to create different codes and looked at different methods of communication from the time.

Today we talked about the skills you need to co-operate well when working in a group.  We then used these skills to work into ups to build the tallest tower we could from two plastic cups, some newspaper and some paper clips.
